TUMY - Trinity United Methodist Youth Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
Purpose: To provide a uniquely-designed program for 6th-12th grade students to experience and grow in God's grace. We want youth to grow in the knowledge of God and His Love for them, grow in their understanding of His purposes which includes a plan for each of them, and grow in character while building lasting relationships among their peers.
Sunday Mornings: 9:00 - 10:15 - All students meet in the sanctuary to begin our Sunday morning worship with our praise band xClaim! and after opening worship you're invited to go to Heritage Hall where we have our small group study that tackles your real life issues through interactive bible study!
10:15-11:30 - All students are invited to "hang" in Heritage Hall for supervised fellowship time using the pool table, basketball and volleyball courts, board and video games, and more.
Midweek and Year-round Activities: Creating genuine Christ-centered community among teens through fun and engaging activities on our campus, in our community, and across the nation. We enjoy blasting the pastor at Q-zar laser tag, skiing in place like Mountain Beech and Cataloochee, whitewater rafting at Spruce Pines, Acquire the Fire, Summer Camp, messy game and movie nights, service projects such a beach and community cleanups, Boys and Girls Club, Humane Society, local nursing homes, seeing the face of God in the inner-city of Miami through the DOOR ministry. We have a mix of local and long-distance activities that build faith and friendship, confidence and character. We provide opportunities for every youth to help defray costs through fund-raising and a Youth-for-Hire program that places students in service to our community.
